Recovery from Lyme Disease IS possible
Katie Coryell contracted Lyme Disease in March 2016 while visiting family in Maryland, USA. Upon returning to her adopted home country of Australia she made the unpleasant discovery that the Australian medical community does not recognize Lyme Disease as existing in Australia and she was denied the conventional treatment protocol recommended by the CDC. At the time this was like being given an automatic sentence to live with chronic illness.
As a result her experience has incorporated a lot of so called "alternative" treatments; many of which helped more than even this surfing, yoga teaching, hippy would have ever imagined.
Two and a half years after that unfortunate tick bite she has reclaimed her health and is working towards building a quality Life After Lyme.
It is her sincere hope that her experience can somehow help you.
No one will ever truly know the struggle of another and most people will judge someone based on what they see. This video is a little tribute to the years spent battling an “invisible illness”.
Lyme is isolating, Lyme is debilitating, but Lyme can also be empowering. How will you choose to live YOUR life after Lyme?
Filmed in Australia's beautiful South West, this video gives a glimpse into the daily life of yoga teacher, surfer, and Lyme survivor KT Coryell.
